Welcome to decathexis.com. This website hosts a number of projects which I have worked on over the years. Please take a look around and feel free to email me if you have any questions.
For the record my name is Alessandro Sabatelli. I was born in New York and studied Computer Science at NYU. I began work as a commercial Technical Director within the post production industry where I mostly created content for tv commercials. After a brief stint working on an equities trading engine I moved from New York to San Francisco to work at Apple, Inc. on the Quartz Composer team. There I had the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects. Currently I’m a proud member of the Human Interface group where I work lovingly on OS X and embedded products such as the iPhone and iPad. Along with my work at Apple, I am a board member of Slinc., a company which creates custom real-time display systems. Together, our work remains on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. As an artist and engineer my interests focus on making machines friendly, graphic visualization and performance graphics.
